Typhoon Ragasa continues ravaging coastal China | DW News

Taiwan

Typhoon Ragasa is sweeping through coastal China. Weather authorites say its the strongest tropical cyclone to hit the region this year. It made landfall in the densely populated southern province of Guangdong, where more than 2 million people have been relocated. It's now downgraded from a super typhoon, but earlier it caused floodwaters that surged through this hotel lobby in Hong Kong. On its path across the region, Ragasa has already caused massive damage in other areas, especially Taiwan.
