A former Vladimir Putin crony official who was declared dead 13 years ago has been found alive after allegedly going into hiding. Marianna Stupina, a former first deputy minister of housing and communal services, vanished before she was due to be sentenced for corruption, in 2012. The ex-official, who worked in the Astrakhan region of southern Russia , allegedly went on the run over a decade ago to avoid serving seven years in jail .
