On the eve of the second long weekend in May, and the half-term holiday, millions of travellers face disruption. A strike by members of the TSSA union will cut the vast majority of West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway services on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 May. Over the bank holiday weekend, 23-25 May, key intercity lines will be closed for Network Rail engineering work, while links to three London airports will be disrupted.
