US President Donald Trump  and Chinese President Xi Jinping  remained silent after talks in Beijing on whether the US will allow Nvidia to resume AI‑chip sales to China. Nvidia’s CEO was flown in specially for the meeting, underscoring the stakes as China races to close its gap in chipmaking. With Beijing leading most critical technologies but still reliant on foreign semiconductors, the future of AI  trade hangs in the balance.
