The US has confirmed it has lifted its naval blockade of Iranian ports, as the Iran deal comes into effect. Meanwhile, in a written message Iran's supreme leader says he initially disagreed with the deal, but allowed it to go ahead after assurances from the Iranian president. Mojtaba Khamenei also says that US President Donald Trump came to the agreement "out of desperation".
