Dogs were left to roam among the carcasses of dead animals at a rehoming centre where 41 dead pets were found. Essex Police superintendent Leigh Norris said "we'll never truly know the extent" of what happened at Save A Paw in Carys Hill, Billericay. It comes after Oaveed Rahman was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court for one count of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, against 21 dogs and a cat.
