A family’s celebration of the New York Knicks’ NBA championship ended in heartbreak Saturday night when police shot and killed a family’s beloved dog after responding to reports of a screaming woman. The shooting happened shortly after 8 p.m. at a condo complex in Canoga Park, where officers were called to check on a woman who was heard screaming, ABC7 reported.
