The Issue: Texts from Virginia AG candidate Jay Jones fantasizing about the killing of a GOP lawmaker. Jay Jones, Virginia’s Democratic nominee for attorney general, is a total idiot ( “Dems stand by strife of party,” Oct. 8). His violent rhetoric about Republican Todd Gilbert was disgusting, vile and sickening. He is campaigning for the highest law-enforcement position in his state yet he advocated for the assassination of Gilbert and his family. He should immediately withdraw from the race
