Each year, KK Women's and Children's Hospital sees up to 400 new cases of children with burn injuries. SINGAPORE: More than a decade ago, a girl no older than 10 was rushed to the children’s emergency department at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). Earlier in the day, her clothes had caught fire and by the time help reached her, the fabric had melted onto her skin.
