Officials say more than 3 billion dollars are needed for reconstruction and recovery funds in Sumatra following a series of floods and landslides. The Indonesian island was one of the worst hit in last week's storms which battered southeast Asia. In the areas highlighted in red, close to one thousand people have died and more than 270 are still missing. Residential areas, farmland and public facilities have been left flattened.
