Foreign secretary: Attempts to persuade Abramovich to pay have 'come to nothing'

Chelsea FC's former owner Roman Abramovich has been told by the British government to pay £2.5bn into a Ukraine fund or face court action. Sir Keir Starmer said during PMQs that "the clock is ticking, honour the commitment that you made". The Russian oligarch pledged in 2022 that the £2.5bn he made from the sale of the club would be used to benefit victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
