The EU relations minister has defended his deal that will see the UK re-join the EU's Erasmus scheme. Nick Thomas-Symonds announced today that Britain will be re-joining the study abroad scheme, as part of the government's push for closer relations with the EU. The UK will pay £570m in the 2027/28 academic year, after which the cost will be negotiated.
