Oil prices fall as risk premium fades after Gaza deal

Oil prices declined on Friday after settling 1.6 per cent lower in the previous session as the market's risk premium faded after Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a plan to end the war in Gaza. Brent crude futures were down 24 cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $64.98 a barrel by 0636 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude fell 20 cents, or 0.3 per cent, to $61.31.
