Brit Awards backlash as ITV broadcast is reported to Ofcom

TV watchdog Ofcom has received a series of complaints following ITV's broadcast of the BRIT Awards on 28 February. The broadcaster was slammed by viewers who were appalled by some of the jokes made by host Jack Whitehall and by ITV's decision to censor elements of the show. Over the weekend, ITV showed the BRITs with a time delayed broadcast. As such, they were able to include static sounds, which they used to censor out jokes or comments ITV felt were to risky to air.
