He recalled Ramnath Goenka’s fearless stand against British diktats and the Emergency, noting how Macaulay’s 1835 education reforms uprooted India’s cultural confidence and imposed a foreign mindset. He emphasised that true progress requires pride in Indian heritage, languages, innovation, and the “Made in India” ecosystem.
