ISTANBUL   At least eight people were killed and others injured in an Israeli strike in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to local media. The state news agency Wafa said that Israeli warplanes struck a home in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, killing eight people and injuring others. On Friday, Israel’s Security Cabinet approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to fully occupy Gaza City, drawing sharp international backlash from governments and human rights bodies.
