Christoph Basten is a Senior Lead Economist at the European Central Bank. Before, he worked as Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Zurich, as a Visiting Fellow at NYU Stern, and as Head Risk Monitor at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. He holds a BA in PPE from Oxford, an MSc in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute.
