The Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) will be able to request data from pensioner bank accounts as part of new measures to tackle benefit fraud. The new Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Bill will give the Government power to recover money straight from bank accounts of those who have committed benefit fraud.
