Domestic violence cases in Singapore were up in 2024, driven by a rise in child and spousal abuse. The number of new high-risk child abuse reports climbed by about 14%, with primary school aged children forming the largest group. In its annual report, the Social and Family Development Ministry says greater awareness and more willingness to report have contributed to the rise.
