A furious row has erupted over the Conservatives’ bid to use Labour’s children’s safety bill to force a vote for a national grooming gangs inquiry, pushed for by billionaire Elon Musk. After facing Sir Keir Starmer at PMQs, Tory leader Kemi Badenoch will seek an amendment to the Labour’s Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, which is expected to call for ministers to establish a “national statutory inquiry into historical child sexual exploitation, focused on grooming gangs”.
