As U.S. forces lay waste to the tourist spots and halal trucks in a deadly skirmish with a fictional paramilitary cell, you can’t help but wince in horror. Thankfully, the scene isn’t something pulled from the daily news, even if it’s nightmarishly close to a future many Americans fear.
