Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the Ammonia Urea Project of Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Ltd, highlighted how the government absorbs the high global cost of urea through heavy subsidies so that Indian farmers receive each bag at an affordable price.
