Chinese President Xi Jinping pressed President Donald Trump on the status of the self-governing island of Taiwan, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry. Xi told Trump Monday during a phone call that the return of Taiwan to Chinese control is a key part of the post-World War II international order.
