The Danger of Weaponizing Our Personal Boundaries
I was once dumped via email by someone I’d been dating for six weeks. Just days prior, I’d returned home from a week-long trip to visit him. When we said goodbye, all was well. Dates for our next trip had been set. At the airport, he texted me and said that he needed some space to process our time together, and asked that we not communicate until our scheduled zoom call later that week. No texts. No messages on Instagram. No phone calls. This was his boundary and he was not open to conversation.
