Cyclone Harry damage toll climbs over one-billion-euros mark

Italia

The storms brought to southern Italy this week by Cyclone Harry have caused over one billion euros in damage in Sicily alone, ANSA sources said on Thursday. Sicilian Governor Renato Schifani said earlier on Thursday that, according to an initial estimate, the cost of the damage to infrastructure, roads, business premises, hotels and bars amounted 741.5 million euros.     But ANSA sources said the lost income for farms, fishers and businesses takes the total over the one-billion-euro mark.
