The Secretary General of the Farnesina, Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia, today inaugurated in Paris the new headquarters of the Permanent Representation of Italy to UNESCO, re-established as an autonomous diplomatic mission in 2022, in line with Italy's growing commitment to the United Nations specialized agency for education, science and culture. Italy is one of UNESCO's main funders and, with 61 registered sites, the country with the highest number of awards on the World Heritage List.
