Romania women's foil team ranked 13th at the World Fencing Championships in Tbilisi (Georgia). Team Romania (Malina Calugareanu, Rebeca Candescu, Ingrid Miti Bikfalvi) debuted with a victory in the main draw, 45-31 vs. Austria, on Sunday, and on Monday they lost by an incredible 4-45 to Italy. In the tournament for places 9-16, Romania lost to Russia, 33-45, then achieved two victories for positions 13-16, 45-33 against Egypt and 45-33 against China
