A major supermarket chain has slashed the price of some of its vegetables to just 37p . It says it has launched the offer to help people with the weekly shop, saying they should not have to "choose between value and quality ". The move follows on from some specatacular price cuts of seasonal veg across all the major supermarket chains in the days before Christmas which saw carrots, potatoes, parsnips and sprouts on sale for just pennies.
