Meta to start charging companies to keep their chatbots on WhatsApp in Italy

Meta said Friday that it will start charging companies that want to keep running their chatbots on WhatsApp in Italy for each response generated from February 16. The move comes after the Antitrust Authority in December ordered the social-media giant to suspend terms that exclude its competitors in the AI Chatbot services market from the WhatsApp platform.
