United States President Donald Trump could offer NATO-like protection of Ukraine, and Russia is open to the idea, said Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff on Sunday (Aug 17). This comes ahead of a White House meeting between Trump and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who will be joined by European leaders.
