Parliament 'compensation' update for 1950s women affected by pension changes

More than 57,000 people have put their names to an online petition demanding the UK Government apologise and provide financial redress to all 1950s-born women affected by State Pension age changes. The petition has now reached the threshold requiring a written response, which is expected to come from the Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ). Back in March 2024, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman published a report recommending compensation payments of between £1,000 and £2,950
