Ryan Routh, convicted in Trump golf course assassination attempt, faces sentencing

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Ryan Routh will be back in federal court Wednesday morning for the first time since he was found guilty last year of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump. Prosecutors are asking for a life sentence for Routh, who was convicted of trying to kill Trump, then a presidential candidate, at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach in September 2024.
